Sharps containers have different coloured lids to clearly indicate the type of waste they contain:
- Yellow: For sharps contaminated with medicinal products (excluding cytotoxic and cytostatic medicines).
- Orange: For non-contaminated sharps, such as unused needles or scalpels.
- Purple: For cytotoxic and cytostatic medicines.
- Red: For anatomical waste, like body parts.
- Blue: For non-sharp pharmaceutical waste, like expired medications.
We also offer Soakage Pads which can be placed within the Sharps Containers.
